According to data from the General Directorate of the Mint and Stamp Printing House, the total value of coins released into circulation in the first nine months of 2025 was determined to be 1 billion 20 million 21 thousand 400 Turkish Lira. During this period, the most produced coin was the 1 lira, while 5 lira, 50 kuruş, 10 kuruş, 5 kuruş, and 1 kuruş coins were also put into circulation.

The highest production occurred in May with 77 million 520 thousand units, while this number remained at its lowest level in April with 40 million 980 thousand units. In total, 378 million 132 thousand 1 lira coins were released into the market.

Last year, in 2024, a total of 872 million 545 thousand 107 coins were put into circulation, and the total value of these coins was 1 billion 451 million 591 thousand 945 Turkish Lira. That year, 5 lira, 1 lira, 50 kuruş, 10 kuruş, 5 kuruş, and 1 kuruş coins were also released into the market.

Experts emphasize that the supply of coins directly affects cash circulation in the economy. The fact that 25-kuruş coins were not minted in 2025 has resulted in this nominal value not being in circulation.
