Competition violation fines for cement companies in Malatya
The Competition Board has imposed a total of 72 million lira in fines after determining that certain companies operating in the cement and ready-mixed concrete sector in Malatya violated competition rules.

The Competition Board has concluded its investigation into several companies operating in the cement, ready-mixed concrete, and aggregate sectors in Malatya. As a result of the investigation, it was determined that some firms engaged in anti-competitive practices such as price-fixing and customer allocation.
It was determined that the economic entity formed by Acemoğulları, Betontek, and Norm Maden, as well as Çimya, Kavuksan, and Çimbeton, engaged in price-fixing and customer allocation. Additionally, it was revealed that Çınarlar and Mabetaş reached an agreement regarding price-fixing. It was concluded that these companies violated the Law on the Protection of Competition.
On the other hand, no evidence was found that Çimko, Erva, and Recydia violated the law, and no fines were imposed on these companies.
Due to the violations, the Board decided to impose fines of 17 million 454 thousand 321 lira on Acemoğulları, 5 million 871 thousand 614 lira on Betontek and Norm Maden, 13 million 783 thousand 92 lira on Çimya, 8 million 743 thousand 78 lira on Kavuksan, 3 million 444 thousand 931 lira on Çınarlar, 3 million 476 thousand 352 lira on Mabetaş, and 19 million 51 thousand 703 lira on Çimbeton.
