Consumer confidence at its lowest level of the year

The consumer confidence index, calculated from the results of the consumer tendency survey conducted in cooperation with the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) and the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (TCMB), decreased by 3.1 percent in July to 75.9, down from 78.3 in June.

The index showing the household's current financial situation fell from 78.3 in June to 75.9. While the expectation for the household's financial situation over the next 12 months declined from 63.8 to 60.4, the expectation for the general economic situation over the next 12 months fell to 70.8.
