Consumer loans on the agenda!

The Financial Stability Committee meeting was held under the chairmanship of Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek. In a statement made on the ministry's social media account, it was reported that the meeting evaluated the results of the steps taken regarding consumer loans and credit cards, and held consultations on additional measures that could be taken during the disinflation process.

The statement, which noted that the effects of recent domestic liquidity developments on financial stability and potential steps to be taken were also discussed at the meeting, included the following expression: "The Committee continues its work with a holistic approach to protect financial stability, which is one of the most important elements of balanced and sustainable high growth."
