Developments regarding the wage offer concerning approximately 600,000 public sector workers continue.

Türk-İş and Hak-İş, representing the workers in the negotiations, submitted their joint wage proposal 3 months ago on February 27. Because TÜHİS, representing public employers, had not yet submitted an offer, the bargaining table could not be established.

Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan stated that they would present the first offer regarding the protocol to the unions after the Eid al-Adha holiday.

The proposal draft from Türk-İş and Hak-İş includes demands to increase the lowest daily wage to 1,800 liras, a 50 percent raise for the first six months of 2025, a 25 percent raise for the subsequent six-month periods, and an additional 10 percent welfare share.

TÜHİS will present its wage offer to the worker side for the first time today. The offer is expected to be announced at 14:00.
