The Ministry of Trade announced that a meeting was held with the participation of national chain supermarket representatives to protect market balances ahead of the month of Ramadan.
According to the announcement made by the Ministry on social media, measures that could be taken to ensure price stability were discussed at the meeting chaired by Deputy Minister of Trade Mahmut Gürcan.
The statement, which emphasized a fair, balanced, and sustainable price structure in the market, noted the following:
"At the meeting, price formation processes for food and basic consumer goods, cost factors, current developments in the supply chain, and market operations were discussed in detail, primarily focusing on protecting market balances ahead of the month of Ramadan. By exchanging views with industry stakeholders, measures that could be taken to ensure price stability were evaluated. Our primary priority is to protect the interests of our citizens and to establish a fair, balanced, and sustainable price structure in the market."
