ANKARA-IZMIR HIGH-SPEED TRAIN LINE TO BE COMPLETED IN 2026

Stating that Manisa has a deep-rooted railway culture, Minister Uraloğlu said the following:

“As part of the Ankara-Izmir High-Speed Railway Project, we will also introduce Manisa to high-speed trains. Our construction work is continuing in stages. We have achieved 62.9 percent physical progress in infrastructure construction works. The remaining infrastructure, superstructure, and electromechanical construction works are also continuing rapidly. Hopefully, we will complete it within 2026 and open it to the service of our people. When our project is completed, the current Ankara-Izmir railway will be reduced from 824 kilometers to 624 kilometers, and the travel time will be reduced from 14 hours to 3.5 hours. The travel time between Ankara and Manisa will also be reduced from 11 hours and 45 minutes to 2 hours and 50 minutes. Just as we have for the past 21 years, we will continue to further strengthen our country's transport infrastructure in 2024 with innovative projects, sustainable solutions, and by using the power of technology. We will add new services to our existing ones in Manisa with the AK Party and People's Alliance municipalism. Let no one have any doubt that our love for serving Manisa will never end, and our projects and investments that will carry Manisa into the future will continue without slowing down. As a Ministry, we believe that every project we plan will exponentially increase Manisa's potential for trade, production, and tourism activities. We will closely follow transport investments, especially the Akhisar-Gördes Road. I wish for accident-free and trouble-free work.”
