Defense and aerospace industry records $820 million in exports in October

Head of Defense Industries Haluk Görgün shared the latest data regarding exports.

"$820 MILLION IN EXPORTS IN OCTOBER"

In his post on X, Görgün stated that the Turkish defense industry continues to advance successfully in global markets, using the expression: "Our sector, which realized $820 million in exports in October with a 61 percent increase compared to the same period of the previous year, maintained this momentum throughout the year and reached the level of $5.125 billion in the first 10 months of 2024, an increase of 18 percent."

Stating that exports increased by 15 percent to $6 billion 326 million in the past one-year period (November 2023-October 2024), Görgün noted the following:

As the Presidency of Defense Industries, we aim to ensure a permanent increase in the export of high value-added products. Our companies, which export to all corners of the world, set a new record by exporting products to 185 different countries in 2024. Our goal is to make our large-scale companies and SMEs stronger in export markets and to ensure sectoral sustainability. In this direction, we will continue to increase our cooperation activities that we carry out all over the world. Our defense industry continues to be a source of pride with its global success.
