According to the announcement made by the Revenue Administration, it has been stated that changes will be made to departure tax payments for travel abroad starting from January 1, 2025.
The announcement from the Administration included the following statements:
"As of January 1, 2025, the practice of paying the departure tax for travel abroad by purchasing a tax stamp is ending. You can pay the departure tax for travel abroad through the Digital Tax Office at dijital.gib.gov.tr or the GİB Mobile application, through the online channels of authorized banks, at PTT branches, at kiosks located at airports and exit gates, and at tax offices."
HOW MUCH IS THE DEPARTURE TAX FOR TRAVEL ABROAD?
Departure tax stamps purchased at the end of 2024 for the amount of 500 TL can be used until January 10, 2025. After this date, it is mandatory to pay the updated tax amount of 710 Turkish liras. So, where and how will the departure tax for travel abroad be paid?

UNTIL WHEN CAN STAMPS PURCHASED AT THE OLD RATE BE USED?
