Details of the 'Public Savings Package' have been revealed

The details expected to be included in the "Public Savings Measures" package presented to AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan have been revealed.

AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan announced savings measures following the cabinet meeting, and the details have begun to emerge.

According to information obtained, a comprehensive study was conducted by the Presidency of Strategy and Budget and the Ministry of Treasury and Finance.

The study was presented to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan by Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz.

With the measures led by Vice President Yılmaz, a savings target of 100 billion liras has been set.

EXPENDITURES WILL BE MINIMIZED

With the savings measures, expenses in public institutions will be calculated item by item, and expenditures will be minimized. Unless mandatory, public institutions and organizations will not rent buildings or vehicles. Rented additional buildings and vehicles will be determined according to need. Events such as promotions and training sessions held in different provinces at various times of the year will be suspended.

Stationery expenses will be reduced, and correspondence will be conducted in a digital environment. Investments that are 65% complete will be finished, but no new investments will be started. Special quotas in guest houses and social facilities affiliated with public institutions will be limited. Additionally, social responsibility projects that are for the benefit of society and the public will be implemented. Energy savings will be applied in public buildings.

The savings package will be announced by Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz and Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek on Monday at the Presidential Complex.
