According to the latest data released by DİSK-AR, the hunger threshold has reached 17 thousand 756 liras, while the poverty threshold stands at 61 thousand 418 liras.
Based on the calculation using index figures according to TUIK (Turkish Statistical Institute) expenditure groups, 2003 base-year item prices, current monthly internet prices from chain markets and Istanbul Public Bread (Halk Ekmek), as well as the BİSAM Nutrition Pattern, the monthly expenditure required for a family of four to maintain a healthy and balanced diet for April 2024 is 17 thousand 756 liras.
