Gram gold started the day with a record

While the ounce price of gold trended toward a loss in value under the influence of the rise in US bond yields and the dollar index, the gram gold price renewed its historical peak in the morning hours with the rise in the dollar/TL. While ounce gold prices were suppressed by the rise in US bond yields and the dollar index, gram gold prices climbed to a historical record level of 1,831 liras in the morning hours with the rise in the dollar/TL. While ounce gold retreated to 1,990 dollars, it was trading at 1,993 dollars with a 0.12 percent decline as of 09.47.

Analysts stated that developments in the Israel-Palestine conflict continue to remain at the center of the markets' focus, and expressed that investors are acting cautiously ahead of the monetary policy decisions to be announced by the US Federal Reserve (Fed) tomorrow.

In pricing in money markets, while it is considered certain that the Fed will keep the policy rate constant tomorrow, the signals to be received from the policy text and the statements to be made by Fed Chair Jerome Powell are expected to be effective on asset prices.

Stating that growth and inflation data in the Eurozone, as well as the housing price index and consumer confidence index data in the US, along with the news flow regarding the Israel-Palestine conflict, will be followed today, analysts noted that from a technical perspective, 2,000 and 2,020 dollars are resistance levels for the ounce price of gold, while 1,980 and 1,960 dollars are support levels.
