Dollar starts the day with a record: It surpassed 42 TL
As volatility continues in foreign exchange markets, the dollar/TL exchange rate has reached a new peak, surpassing the 42 TL level. Investors are closely monitoring developments in the markets.

The dollar/TL exchange rate was trading at 42.0570 after following a horizontal trend in the early hours of the day. In the interbank market, the dollar rose against the TL to 42.1036 lira, reaching an all-time high. The dollar/TL, which closed at 42.0550 with a 0.2 percent increase the previous day, continued to trade at a similar level today. The euro/TL was at 48.8590 with a 0.2 percent increase, and the sterling/TL was at 56.0740 with a 0.1 percent rise.
The dollar index is also at 99.1 with a 0.2 percent increase.
US-CHINA TRADE TALKS
Trade talks to be held between the US and China caused an upward movement in the dollar index. In a statement from the White House, it was stated that US President Donald Trump would meet with the leaders of China, South Korea, and Japan as part of his Asia tour. Trump will meet with ASEAN leaders in Malaysia on October 26.
Economists stated that the financial services confidence index in the country, and inflation and the University of Michigan consumer confidence index in the US would be monitored today. In addition, manufacturing industry, service sector, and composite PMI data will be closely followed worldwide.
