Drop in Brent crude oil price: Fell to 81.28 dollars

After rising to 83.60 dollars yesterday, the price of a barrel of Brent crude oil closed the day at 81.60 dollars.

As of 09:27 today, the price of a barrel of Brent crude oil decreased by 0.39 percent compared to the closing price, reaching 81.28 dollars. At the same time, a barrel of West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude oil was finding buyers at 76.31 dollars.

Prices began to fall following data indicating weakening demand in the United States, the world's largest oil consumer.

The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) announced that the country's commercial crude oil inventories increased by approximately 12 million barrels last week, rising to 439 million 400 thousand barrels. Market expectations were for an increase of 8 million 552 thousand barrels.
