Drop in gas prices in Europe
Natural gas prices in Europe have fallen due to forecasts of rising temperatures toward the end of January and the high occupancy rate in natural gas storage facilities.

In Europe, at the Netherlands-based virtual natural gas trading hub TTF, natural gas prices for February futures contracts fell to 29.91 euros, reaching their lowest level since August 4, 2023.
This decline is linked to forecasts that temperatures will rise toward the end of January and the high occupancy rate in natural gas storage facilities.
It has been stated that natural gas storage facilities in Europe are 79.74 percent full. This decline in natural gas prices may fluctuate depending on many factors, such as supply and demand imbalances, climatic conditions, and the status of energy storage facilities.
