E-commerce sector continued to grow in 2024
The 2024 e-commerce data has been released. According to a report by Ticimax, which provides infrastructure for more than 20,000 e-commerce sites, there were no changes in the ranking of provinces with the highest number of orders in Turkey, while significant increases were observed across the e-commerce sector. The average basket size rose to 1,929 TL, with the textile, footwear, and food sectors generating the highest revenue.

Ticimax E-commerce Systems, which provides infrastructure for more than 20,000 e-commerce sites, has published data showing general trends for 2024. According to the report, the ranking of provinces with the highest number of orders did not change in 2024 compared to the previous year. The top 10 provinces with the most e-commerce orders were, in order: Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Bursa, Antalya, Kocaeli, Adana, Konya, Mugla, and Gaziantep.
LEADER IN AVERAGE BASKET SIZE: FURNITURE
The average basket size rose from 1,384 TL in 2023 to 1,929 TL in 2024. The categories with the highest increase in average basket size were furniture, home and garden products, computers, major appliances, home appliances, marine products, toys, and heating-cooling and lighting systems.
TEXTILES, FOOTWEAR, AND FOOD GENERATED HIGH REVENUE
According to the report, which was compiled using data from more than 20,000 e-commerce sites, total revenue increased by 105 percent in 2024 compared to the previous year, reaching 56 billion TL. The number of orders increased by 15 percent to 42 million. Site traffic saw a 30 percent rise.
The sectors and categories that generated the most revenue were, in order, textiles, footwear, food, cosmetics, baby and children's products, and sports equipment.
