Economic confidence index falls
The economic confidence index decreased by 0.8 percent on a monthly basis in May to 98.2. In the same period, the consumer confidence index increased by 0.1 percent on a monthly basis to 80.51.

The Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) has announced the economic confidence index data for May.
Accordingly, the index, which was 99 in April, fell by 0.8 percent in May to 98.2.
In the same period, the consumer confidence index increased by 0.1 percent to 80.51. The real sector (manufacturing industry) confidence index decreased by 1.1 percent to 102.4. The services sector confidence index remained at the same level at 117.1, the retail trade sector confidence index decreased by 3.3 percent to 111.7, and the construction sector confidence index decreased by 0.3 percent to 88.3.
