Economic crisis hits dairy giant
Sel Süt, a Konya-based company and one of Turkey's most established dairy and dairy products producers, has gone bankrupt due to its inability to pay its debts. The court has accepted the company's bankruptcy request.

The economic crisis in Turkey continues to affect employers as well as citizens. Most recently, the famous Konya-based dairy and dairy products producer Sel Süt filed for bankruptcy on the grounds that it could not pay its debts.
According to the report by Yeniçağ, the court decided on the bankruptcy of Sel Süt and included the following statements in its ruling:
"With the decision of the Konya 3rd Commercial Court of First Instance dated 04.02.2022 and numbered 2021/494, it has been decided that the bankrupt party, registered with the Konya Trade Registry Office under number 28108, is declared bankrupt, and that the bankruptcy proceedings are opened as of the same date and time: 11:34."
While many companies have come to the brink of bankruptcy during this difficult economic period, Sel Süt has unfortunately also been affected by this situation. Employees who have been left unemployed have begun searching for new job opportunities.
