Economists weigh in: Turkey's growth figures revealed
The AA Finance Q4 Growth Expectation Survey has been concluded. Participating economists estimate that the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) grew by 3.97 percent in the fourth quarter of last year.

The AA Finance expectation survey regarding the 2023 Q4 GDP data, which will be announced by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) on Thursday, February 29, has been concluded with the participation of 9 economists.
PREDICTING TURKEY'S GROWTH
According to the survey results, economists estimate that the Turkish economy grew by 3.97 percent in the final quarter of last year. The growth expectations of the economists participating in the survey for the last quarter of 2023 ranged between 3.30 percent and 4.70 percent.
The average of the economists' growth expectations for the entire year of 2023 was 4.40 percent. Estimates regarding this expectation were recorded as a low of 3.92 percent and a high of 4.70 percent.
On the other hand, the average of the 9 economists' growth forecasts for the end of 2024 was 3.44 percent. The Turkish economy recorded growth of 4 percent in the first quarter of 2023, 3.9 percent in the second quarter, and 5.9 percent in the third quarter.
