Effective January 1: Monetary limit for consumer arbitration committees changed
With the new regulation published in the Official Gazette, the monetary upper limit for disputes handled by consumer arbitration committees has been increased to 186 thousand liras, effective from 2026.

The communiqué prepared by the Ministry of Trade, which provides for the updating of monetary limits regarding Consumer Arbitration Committees, has been published in the Official Gazette. With this regulation, the scope of authority for provincial and district consumer arbitration committees in consumer disputes for the year 2026 has been redefined.
Accordingly, the current financial limit has been increased by 25.49 percent and set at 186 thousand Turkish Liras. Within the scope of the application, which will enter into force on January 1, 2026, provincial or district consumer arbitration committees will be authorized for disputes with a value below 186 thousand TL.
