Election move from the government: Striking behind-the-scenes claims regarding retirees' holiday bonuses!

Kısa Dalga columnist Mehmet Çetingüleç has suggested that AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will make an announcement regarding retiree bonuses following the Cabinet Meeting. According to this, the 3,000 TL holiday bonus to be given to retirees will be increased to 10,000 TL.

Having declared 2024 the Year of Retirees, AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan had first announced that the lowest pension had been increased to 10,000 TL, and later announced that the 2,000 TL bonus would be paid as 3,000 TL.

Retirees, who have been condemned to a starvation wage, reacted to the figure determined by the government.

ERDOĞAN SAID 'IMPOSSIBLE'; BAHÇELİ SAID 'IMPROVEMENTS WILL BE MADE'

While Erdoğan described the retirees' demands for a flat-rate raise as 'provocation' and argued that it was impossible to allocate more resources to retirees in the budget, the leader of the MHP, a partner in the People's Alliance, Devlet Bahçeli, had stated, “The calls of our retirees are not unjustified; necessary improvements will be made generously.”

While millions of retirees are waiting for a raise in their pensions and bonuses, a surprise claim was put forward ahead of the Cabinet Meeting to be held today.

ERDOĞAN WILL MAKE AN ANNOUNCEMENT AFTER THE CABINET MEETING

According to the latest information obtained from government circles by Mehmet Çetingüleç of Kısa Dalga, Erdoğan will make an announcement regarding retiree bonuses following the Cabinet Meeting.

Accordingly, it is claimed that Erdoğan will announce that the holiday bonus will be increased from 3,000 TL to 10,000 TL. Thus, a 5-fold increase will have been made to the bonus, which was 2,000 TL in 2023.

If the information reflected from the government wing to the backstage turns out to be true, retirees will receive 10,000 TL each for the Ramadan and Eid al-Adha holidays, totaling 20,000 TL in bonuses.
