Electricity prices at record levels again tomorrow! Same situation for natural gas

On the spot market, the price of one megawatt-hour of electricity for tomorrow has been set at a maximum of 2,690 lira and a minimum of 1,997 lira and 18 kurus. According to Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data, the trading volume in the spot electricity market today increased by 46.2 percent compared to the previous day, reaching 1 billion 499 million 323 thousand 109 lira. In the day-ahead market, the price of one megawatt-hour of electricity for tomorrow was determined to be 2,690 lira at peak hours and 1,997 lira and 18 kurus at the lowest hour.

According to the same data, the arithmetic average price of one megawatt-hour of electricity in the day-ahead market was 2,337 lira and 48 kurus, while the weighted average price was 2,349 lira and 81 kurus. On the spot market, the price of one megawatt-hour of electricity was recorded at a maximum of 2,689 lira and a minimum of 567 lira today.

In the spot natural gas market, the reference price for 1,000 cubic meters of gas was set at 10,444 lira and 52 kurus yesterday. According to Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data, the trading volume in the spot natural gas market yesterday was 15 million 696 thousand 416 lira. The gas trade volume was 1 million 503 thousand cubic meters.

For market participants, the balancing gas purchase price was set at 10,966 lira and 75 kurus, and the sales price at 9,922 lira and 29 kurus. While 161 million 859 thousand 153 cubic meters of natural gas were supplied to Turkey yesterday, the amount of natural gas offered to the market was recorded as 161 million 941 thousand 38 cubic meters.
