Electricity production and consumption in balance
Electricity production and consumption in Turkey were in balance yesterday. According to TEİAŞ data, 956 thousand 117 megawatt-hours of electricity were produced and 955 thousand 889 megawatt-hours were consumed on February 16, 2024.

Yesterday, 956 thousand 117 megawatt-hours of electricity were produced on a daily basis in Turkey, while 955 thousand 889 megawatt-hours of electricity were consumed.
According to Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEİAŞ) data, the highest electricity consumption occurred yesterday at 12:00 with 45 thousand 319 megawatt-hours, while the lowest consumption was 31 thousand 799 megawatt-hours at 05:00.
A total of 956 thousand 117 megawatt-hours of electricity was produced nationwide on a daily basis. 25 percent of this production was provided by dammed hydroelectric power plants, 23.6 percent by imported coal power plants, and 13.2 percent by wind power plants.
In addition, Turkey exported 4 thousand 779 megawatt-hours of electricity yesterday, while 4 thousand 577 megawatt-hours of electricity were imported.
