Electricity production and consumption increased in Turkey!

In Turkey, 984 thousand 769 megawatt-hours of electricity were produced on a daily basis yesterday, while consumption reached 979 thousand 620 megawatt-hours.

Yesterday, 984,769 megawatt-hours of electricity were produced on a daily basis in Turkey; consumption was recorded at 979,620 megawatt-hours.

According to data from the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEİAŞ), the highest electricity consumption occurred yesterday at 12:00 PM with 47,050 megawatt-hours, while the lowest consumption was recorded at 05:00 AM with 32,697 megawatt-hours.

While the amount of electricity produced on a daily basis was recorded as 984,769 megawatt-hours, consumption was determined to be 979,620 megawatt-hours.

Imported coal power plants took the first place in electricity production with a 23.1% share. They were followed by dammed hydroelectric power plants with a 20% share and natural gas power plants with an 18.6% share.

Turkey exported 6,143 megawatt-hours of electricity yesterday, while it imported 1,061 megawatt-hours of electricity.
