Analysts stated that global equity markets are following a mixed trend as expectations regarding the date when the US Federal Reserve (Fed) will begin interest rate cuts are being pushed back, despite a significant decrease in recession concerns in the US economy.

Uncertainties regarding when dovish steps will begin in Europe also continue.

Although pricing in money markets suggests a 75 percent probability that the European Central Bank (ECB) will begin interest rate cuts in April, analysts noted that ECB members are maintaining a "hawkish" tone in their statements and that it is more likely that the first interest rate cut will take place in June.

Analysts noted that forecasts for the ECB to make 5 interest rate cuts by the end of the year remain valid, and added that the Bank of England (BoE) is estimated to make 4 interest rate cuts by the end of the year.

Stating that data released across the region continues to provide mixed signals, analysts expressed that the inflation and recession dilemma, albeit limited, is influencing investor decisions.

Analysts reported that the Producer Price Index (PPI) in the Eurozone, and the services sector and composite Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) data to be released in the US, the Eurozone, Germany, and the UK will be monitored today.
