Forecasts regarding the future of gold prices remain on the agenda for investors. In particular, the impact of inflation data to be announced in the US on the monetary policies of the Federal Reserve (Fed) is seen as the main determinant of the markets.
Economists agree that ounce gold currently has upward potential. Geopolitical developments stand out as the most important factor that will support price increases. Analyst İslam Memiş stated that the short-term movement in ounce gold will be decisive, pointing to critical levels.
According to Memiş's assessments, "significant volatility is expected in the 4,850–4,860 dollar band for ounce gold" in the coming days. Memiş also said, "In the event that potential peace news is reflected in the market, ounce gold could test the 5,000–5,200 dollar range."
In the domestic market, gram gold continues to offer new opportunities to investors despite the occasional declines it experiences. Experts express the view that this fluctuation will not be permanent. While warning that new peaks could be seen in gram gold in May, it is stated that investors should follow levels above 7,000 liras. İslam Memiş stated, “Gram gold had fallen below 6,800 liras. However, levels above 7,000 liras could be seen again in May.”
Giving advice to citizens preparing for weddings in light of the rising price expectations, Memiş emphasized the importance of product selection in jewelry choices. Pointing out that buying jewelry that will not be used after the wedding could cause financial loss, Memiş shared the following recommendations:
“If it won't be used after the wedding, don't lose money for nothing. Go buy bracelets, buy republic gold. Then it can be converted into cash when needed. I am not saying don't buy products with craftsmanship. I am saying don't pay for craftsmanship on a product you won't use.”
