Fatih Portakal gives a rate for the pension hike! 'You can write this down...'

Millions of retirees, who have been condemned to a starvation wage, have turned their eyes to June and July.

There is eager anticipation regarding what will happen with the base pension hike and the regulation for the lowest pension. The SGK and Bağ-Kur pension hikes will be determined based on the 6-month inflation figures.

As predictions continue to arrive one after another, journalist Fatih Portakal announced the expected hike by providing a rate.

"It has become clear how much of a raise retirees will receive," said Portakal, adding, "25 percent is clear. You can now write this down. Retirees will receive the raises resulting from the inflation difference. You know that already. That is not something being given; retirees deserve it. So, think of it this way: if you are receiving 10,000 TL, your salary will be 12,500 TL in July with a 25 percent increase. Of course, do not expect any extra welfare income. I do not anticipate that happening."
