February inflation announced: What is the maximum rent increase rate?

The Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) has announced the inflation data for February. Accordingly, the maximum increase rate that can be applied to commercial rents in March has been set at 55.91 percent.

The Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) has announced the inflation data for February. 

In February, monthly inflation was 4.53 percent, while annual inflation was 67.07 percent.

The rate of change based on the twelve-month averages, which is used to determine the maximum rent increase rate, was 55.91 percent.

Thus, the maximum increase rate that can be applied to commercial rents in March has been determined as 55.91 percent.

For residential rents, the 25 percent maximum increase cap will remain in effect until July 2, 2024.
