Federal Reserve Board of Governors member Adriana Kugler has announced that she will step down from her position on August 8.

In a statement released by the Fed, it was noted that Adriana Kugler, who has served as a member of the Board of Governors since September 13, 2023, has submitted her letter of resignation to U.S. President Donald Trump.
After leaving her post, Kugler will return to her faculty position at Georgetown University.
U.S. President Trump shared his views on Kugler's resignation in a statement to members of the press at the White House.
Trump claimed that Kugler had disagreements with Fed Chair Jerome Powell regarding interest rates.
He also expressed his satisfaction with the vacancy created on the Fed's Board of Governors.
