Foreign investors continue to withdraw from the stock market
While the foreign exodus from stocks in Turkey continues unabated for the sixth consecutive week, the bond market has begun to attract interest.

Non-resident investors made net sales of 118 million dollars in Turkish stocks during the week of June 12. Thus, the foreign investors' selling streak in the stock market has reached six consecutive weeks. Over the last six weeks, a total of 1.7 billion dollars in stock sales have taken place.
Movements in the bond market during the same week followed an opposite trend. Foreign investors turned their attention back to Turkey's debt instruments with net bond purchases of 485 million dollars.
According to the Central Bank's weekly securities statistics, the volatile trend in foreign interest in Turkish assets is noteworthy. Despite the recent acceleration in the exit from stocks, the increased purchases on the bond side indicate that financial markets are beginning to establish new balances.
These developments are considered to be closely related to the changing global risk appetite of investors and the current outlook of the Turkish economy.
