Fuel price hike announced

Following last week's 3.6 TL reduction in gasoline prices, a decision to increase prices by 82 kuruş was announced on Friday. Fuel industry sources have announced that there will be a 1.15 TL increase per liter of gasoline, effective from midnight tomorrow.

Brent crude oil, which hit a low following the additional customs tariffs announced by the US, had led to a reduction in fuel prices in Turkey as well.

SECOND HIKE FOR GASOLINE

While gasoline prices were reduced by 2.24 TL and 1.34 TL respectively last week, the total reduction of 3.6 TL was reversed by the 82 kuruş price hike decision taken on Friday.

Journalist Olcay Aydilek announced that there will be an increase of approximately 1.15 TL in the liter price of gasoline as of Thursday, bringing the total increase in gasoline over the last week to nearly 2 liras.
