Fuel prices change once again

Fuel prices in Turkey are constantly fluctuating due to changes in exchange rates and global oil markets. Recent currency volatility and tax updates have made fuel prices, especially gasoline hikes, a topic closely followed by vehicle owners. However, the 80-kuruş reduction applied to the liter price of gasoline as of today has brought relief to many citizens.
The reduction appeared on price boards in many cities starting from the early hours of Wednesday, May 27. Vehicle owners have begun researching the current figures at stations to learn the new prices.
In Istanbul, the price of gasoline dropped to 64.32 TL on the European side and 64.18 TL on the Anatolian side. The liter price of diesel was updated to 67.03 TL and 66.90 TL, respectively. The liter price of LPG was stated as 33.89 TL on the European side and 33.29 TL on the Anatolian side.
In the capital, Ankara, a liter of gasoline is being sold for 65.29 TL, diesel for 68.16 TL, and LPG for 33.87 TL. Prices in Izmir were set at 65.57 TL per liter for gasoline, 68.43 TL for diesel, and 33.69 TL for LPG.
While this change in fuel prices directly affects citizens' budgets, drivers are following it closely, especially before long journeys and intercity travel. Price differences can show minor variations between districts within a city.
Activity in global oil and currency markets is expected to continue shaping fuel prices in the coming days. Fuel distribution companies and industry representatives state that prices will remain at these levels until a new update.
