The ongoing conflict between the US and Iran and the continued closure of the Strait of Hormuz are deepening the contraction in global oil supply. High demand despite the decrease in supply is causing oil prices to rise.
With the impact of the increase in oil prices, expectations for new hikes in fuel products have emerged.
According to information obtained from industry sources, a price hike of 1.07 lira per liter of gasoline is projected to take effect starting tomorrow.
Following the expected increase, the price per liter of gasoline is projected to rise to 64.95 lira in Istanbul, 65.90 lira in Ankara, and 66.18 lira in Izmir. In eastern provinces, the price per liter is estimated to rise as high as 67.53 lira.
