72,000 TL state contribution in BES: Only 6 days left!
Individual Pension System (BES) participants can benefit from a maximum state contribution of 72,000 TL by completing the 240,000 TL contribution payment set for 2024. It was emphasized that payments must be completed by the end of the year and that attention should be paid to payments made via credit card.

The payment period has intensified for those who want to take full advantage of the state contribution in the Individual Pension System as of the end of the year.
Participants who deposit a total contribution of 240,030 TL for the year 2024 can benefit from the 30 percent state contribution up to 72,009 TL.
According to the report by Hürriyet, participants who complete the payment will have obtained a total of 204,030 TL in state contributions in a short time. However, to benefit from this right, payments must be made before the end of the year.
According to data from the Insurance Association of Turkey, in order to fully benefit from the 30 percent state contribution, one must remain in the BES for at least 10 years and reach the age of 56. However, this duration requirement is not sought in cases such as death or disability.
Those who leave the system after staying for at least 3 years can benefit from a certain percentage of the state contribution. This rate varies between 15 and 60 percent depending on the duration of stay in the system.
OPPORTUNITY FOR THOSE WHO HAVE FROZEN THEIR BES
Participants who have frozen their BES contract can also fully benefit from the state contribution if they deposit a total contribution of up to 240,000 TL. However, since there is little time left until the end of the year, payments must be made in cash.
Payments made by credit card may not be calculated within the year 2024 due to value dates. This is an important detail to pay attention to, as it may lead to loss of rights.
Participants whose contribution payments exceed 240,000 TL within the year have reached the upper limit of the state contribution for this year. Excess payments are transferred to the year 2025.
In this case, participants will be able to benefit from both the rights transferred from the previous year and the state contribution that will arise from the payments they will make throughout 2025.
2025 STATE CONTRIBUTION LIMIT INCREASED
The minimum wage increase also affected the BES upper limit for 2025.
A participant who deposits a total contribution of 312,036 TL for the year 2025 will be able to receive a state contribution of 93,610 Turkish Lira and 80 kuruş.
Every year, state contribution upper limits are calculated based on the gross minimum wage.
Therefore, the increase in the minimum wage allows for an increase in both the contributions to be made to BES and the state support to be received.
