In Turkey, retirees and low-income citizens are focused on the minimum wage increase to be determined for 2026.
As economic conditions worsen and expectations rise, the figures prepared according to possible raise rates on the table have drawn attention.
According to Social Security Expert Özgür Erdursun, the levels the minimum wage could reach in 2026 have been calculated as follows:
20% raise: 26,524 TL
25% raise: 27,630 TL
30% raise: 28,735 TL
31% raise: 28,956 TL
32% raise: 29,177 TL
33% raise: 29,398 TL
35% raise: 29,840 TL
40% raise: 30,945 TL
Social Security expert Özgür Erdursun stated that the most likely range among the evaluated raise scenarios is 27,500–28,000 TL.
Furthermore, it was noted that if the raise rate is kept low, a need for a new adjustment may arise in the middle of the year.
As raise negotiations approach, both the business world and the working class continue to wait. The final decision is expected to become clear after the meetings in December.
