The Social Security Institution (SGK) has pressed the button against fake insurance entries and irregular retirement applications. As a result of the investigations that have gained momentum recently, the retirement of more than 95 thousand people has been canceled.

SGK Chief Expert İsa Karakaş issued an important warning to citizens, stating that the retirement of those who have the letters 'K, Ş, S' in their e-Devlet service records could be canceled at any moment.

PAST YEARS ARE ALSO BEING INVESTIGATED

According to Tgrt's report, within the scope of the strict audits carried out by the SGK, retroactive investigations are also being conducted. It was announced that if individuals who previously gained the right to retirement due to irregular insurance are identified, their pensions will be canceled and the amounts paid will be reclaimed with interest.

CODED LETTERS IN E-DEVLET

SGK Chief Expert İsa Karakaş emphasized that citizens should carefully examine their e-Devlet service records and said the following:

"If the letters 'K, Ş, S' are present in your service record, this means your insurance is fake, suspicious, or under control. The SGK continues to investigate these situations no matter how many years have passed, and if fraudulent employment is detected, your retirement will be canceled."

HOW DOES THE SGK'S AUDIT PROCESS WORK?

For individuals whose fake insurance is detected during audits, a repayment process is initiated. Experts state that in the investigations conducted by the SGK, those who make fake premium payments through companies and individuals who are shown as insured even though they do not actually work are identified.

According to the statements made by the SGK, the pensions of individuals who obtained the right to retirement irregularly will be canceled and the following procedures will be applied:

Pensions paid will be reclaimed with interest.

Premiums paid due to fake insurance will not be refunded.

If health services were received unfairly during the retirement process, health expenditures will also be reclaimed.

AUDITS WILL CONTINUE

The SGK announced that the number of audit personnel will increase and investigations will become more frequent. Focusing particularly on suspicious insurance records, applications made with fake diplomas, and irregular employment notifications, the SGK stated that detailed investigations in Turkey, which has a population of 85 million, take time but that checks are ongoing.

Experts state that those who gained the right to retirement, especially with the EYT (Retirement at Age) regulation in recent years, are subject to more frequent audits, and that those who engage in irregular transactions should take the situation seriously to avoid victimization.
