Date for Eid al-Adha bonus payment announced
The countdown for the 2025 Eid al-Adha bonus has begun. Social Security Institution (SGK) expert Emin Yılmaz stated that payments will be made between June 2 and June 5, based on the allocation number. A large number of groups, including not only retirees but also widows and orphans, will be able to benefit from the bonus, which is set to be 4,000 Turkish Lira.

This year, Eid al-Adha will begin on Friday, June 6. The retiree holiday bonuses, which are paid before the holiday, are a subject of great interest this year, as they are every year. In a statement, SGK expert Emin Yılmaz indicated that the bonuses will be deposited between June 2 and 5, 2025, according to the last digit of the retirees' allocation numbers.
WHO WILL BE ELIGIBLE FOR THE RETIREE HOLIDAY BONUS?
Retirees, relatives of martyrs, veterans, widows, and orphans are also included in the scope.
According to the information provided by Emin Yılmaz, not only retirees but also various other segments will be able to receive the Eid al-Adha bonus. Here are the groups that will receive payments:
SSK, Bağ-Kur, and Emekli Sandığı retirees
Recipients of old-age pensions
Recipients of duty disability pensions
Those with permanent incapacity income
Relatives of martyrs and veterans
Security guards
Champion athletes
Civilians harmed by terrorism
Widows or orphans of these individuals
Speaking to CNN Türk, Emin Yılmaz emphasized that the scope is quite broad, stating, “We currently have 16.5 million retirees. All retirees receive the bonus. Additionally, those receiving widow and orphan pensions can also benefit from the bonus.”
