December inflation announced: 2025 civil servant and retiree salary increases are set!

Turkey's 2024 inflation has been determined. According to TURKSTAT data, inflation increased by 1.03 percent on a monthly basis in December 2024. Year-end inflation was recorded at 44.38 percent.

Thus, the 6-month inflation rate and the salary increase rate for civil servants and retirees have been determined.

WHAT IS THE 6-MONTH INFLATION RATE?

The 6-month inflation rate was determined to be 15.75 percent.

HOW MUCH OF A RAISE WILL RETIREES RECEIVE?

Workers and Bağ-Kur retirees receive a raise equal to the 6-month inflation rate.

Retirement pensions will increase by 15.75 percent in the first 6 months of 2025.

HOW MUCH OF A RAISE WILL CIVIL SERVANTS RECEIVE?

Civil servants and retired civil servants received a 10 percent collective bargaining raise in July. There will be an inflation adjustment for the amount exceeding this rate in the 6-month inflation.

The inflation adjustment for the first 6 months of 2025 was 5.23 percent.

A 6 percent raise stemming from the collective bargaining agreement will be added on top of the inflation adjustment.

The salaries of civil servants and retired civil servants will increase by 11.55 percent in the first 6-month period of 2025.

WHAT IS THE LOWEST CIVIL SERVANT SALARY?

In the first six months of 2025, the lowest civil servant salary increased from 39 thousand 177 liras to 41 thousand 90 liras.

The lowest retired civil servant salary rose from 17 thousand 587 liras to 19 thousand 616 liras.
