WHEN AND AT WHAT TIME IS THE MINIMUM WAGE MEETING?
The Minimum Wage Determination Commission will hold its first meeting on Tuesday, December 10.
The meeting, which will be hosted by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, will be attended by the Turkish Confederation of Employer Associations (TİSK) representing the employers, and TÜRK-İŞ, the confederation with the most members, representing the workers.
The meeting is expected to begin around noon.
WHEN WILL THE MINIMUM WAGE BE DETERMINED?
The first meeting for the new minimum wage increase to be valid for 2025 will be held on Tuesday, December 10.
The new minimum wage is expected to be announced following three meetings to be held for the minimum wage increase.
CURRENT MINIMUM WAGE IS 17 THOUSAND 2 LIRA
The minimum wage is currently applied as a monthly gross of 20 thousand 2 lira and 50 kuruş for one worker, and a net of 17 thousand 2 lira and 12 kuruş after deductions.
The total cost of the minimum wage to the employer for one worker is 23 thousand 502 lira and 94 kuruş. Of this cost, 20 thousand 2 lira and 50 kuruş is calculated as the gross minimum wage, 3 thousand 100 lira and 39 kuruş as the social security premium, and 400 lira and 5 kuruş as the employer's unemployment insurance fund.
