The Economic Coordination Council will discuss holiday bonuses on February 21, and the promotion protocol with banks will be updated in March. For 2025, bonuses are expected to increase by between 3,500 TL and 4,500 TL. Additionally, an increase in bank promotions is also on the agenda.

The holiday bonus given to retirees every year for Ramadan and Eid al-Adha was set at 3,000 TL last year. However, an increase in this figure for 2025 is on the agenda. It is being discussed in the public sphere that the bonus could range between 3,500 and 4,500 TL.
With a 30 percent increase: 3,900 TL
With a 35 percent increase: 4,050 TL
With a 40 percent increase: 4,200 TL
With a 50 percent increase: 4,500 TL
Retirees received a 15.75 percent salary increase in June. If holiday bonuses are increased by this rate, the figure will rise to 3,472 TL.
WHEN WILL BANK PROMOTIONS BE ANNOUNCED?
Retirement salary promotions will be determined by new agreements to be made between the Social Security Institution (SGK) and 19 public and private banks. These figures, which are expected to be updated in March, may rise even further due to competition between banks.
In 2024:
Promotions at public banks ranged between 8,000 TL and 12,000 TL.
Private banks were paying up to 21,000 TL.
In 2025, promotions at public banks could rise to 18,000 TL.
At private banks, this figure could reach 40,000 TL.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR BANK PROMOTIONS?
To receive bank promotions, retirees must commit to receiving their salaries from the same bank for 3 years.
SSK and Bağ-Kur retirees are eligible for promotions.
Those who retire as of March 1 will also be able to benefit from this opportunity.
