Increase in retiree promotions! Which banks will offer record deals?

Following the 15.75 percent raise for retirees in 2025, the promotion amounts to be provided by banks have returned to the agenda.

AGREEMENT IN MARCH

A significant increase in promotion amounts is projected with the new protocol expected to be signed between the SGK and banks in March. In the agreement made with public banks last year, promotion figures were set between 8 thousand TL and 12 thousand TL, while private banks had raised these amounts up to 21 thousand TL.

HOW MUCH WILL PROMOTION AMOUNTS INCREASE?

Making statements on the subject, Certified Public Accountant and Economist Muhammet Bayram stated that there will be an increase of nearly 50 percent in promotion amounts with the agreement to be made in March. Bayram said, "I expect promotion amounts at public banks to be set in the range of 12 thousand TL to 18 thousand TL. Private banks may push these amounts even higher."

WHEN WILL THE INCREASED PROMOTIONS BE ANNOUNCED?

Increased promotion campaigns are shaped by private banks setting their prices under the leadership of public banks.

For the new campaigns expected to be announced in March and April, it is recommended that retirees visit bank branches and choose the bank that offers the highest promotion amount. Bayram stated, "Retirees should wait for the agreement that the SGK will make with the banks because these amounts will increase a little more."

WAIT FOR MARCH FOR A NEW CONTRACT

Retirees can cancel their existing promotion agreements and sign an agreement with another bank. However, in this case, they are required to refund the period they did not spend in their retirement term.

Experts advise retirees who will sign a new agreement to wait for March and for the new protocol between the SGK and the banks to be announced.
