Across Turkey, both employees and employers are eagerly following what the new minimum wage will be. Ahead of the Minimum Wage Determination Commission meetings expected to take place in December, expectations regarding the question "How much will the minimum wage be?" have increased.
Korkusuz columnist Can Coşkun included 'clear' information he obtained from his sources in Ankara in his column.
In his article today, in the section titled 'The minimum wage corridor is clear,' Can Coşkun stated, "When I synthesize the information I received from the Ministry and Beştepe corridors, I understand that the minimum wage will not exceed 28 thousand liras," and continued his article with the following statements:
"Under current conditions, a 20-25 percent raise is anticipated."
"Unless President Erdoğan intervenes for more, there is no other possibility."
"Plans for 27 thousand and some change have already been made."
"It will either be rounded up to 28 or remain fixed."
"Unless an election signal emerges or a different political equation is formed, this is the calculation."
