As of 2025, pension payments have begun to be deposited into accounts. While civil servant retirees received their increased pensions at the beginning of the month, SSK retirees began receiving their payments as of January 17. For Bağ-Kur retirees, the increased pensions will be deposited into accounts starting from January 25.
LOWEST PENSION INCREASED
With the regulation made for the lowest pension, the base salary was increased by 15.75 percent to 14,469 TL. The new regulation will enter into force after being published in the Official Gazette. A flat payment will be made to retirees whose monthly pension remains below this figure. The difference payments are expected to be credited to accounts at the beginning of February.
HOW MUCH WILL THE HOLIDAY BONUS BE?
The first bonus payment will be made to retirees between March 24 and 28, before the Ramadan Feast. The Eid al-Adha bonuses will be deposited into accounts between June 2 and 5. According to the report by Sabah, the bonuses, which totaled 6,000 TL last year, are expected to rise to the 3,500-4,000 TL level this year with an increase in line with the inflation rate.
SURPRISE PREDICTION FOR RETIREE HOLIDAY BONUS
SGK expert Emin Yılmaz made a surprise prediction regarding the rate of increase to be applied to the retiree holiday bonus. Yılmaz stated, "Inflation data can be taken into account. Similarly, losses in the purchasing power of money can be taken into account. There is a possibility that this figure could be between 7,500 liras and 10,000 liras. However, I would also like to say that this is entirely a situation dependent on budget balances and the economic team."
INCREASE IN BANK PROMOTIONS
The increase in pensions has also affected bank promotions. Promotion amounts have been redetermined according to salary brackets. Retirees who have previously received a promotion have the right to cancel their existing contracts and make an agreement with the new figures.
