Survey results announced: Citizens' minimum wage expectations revealed
Eyes have turned to the Minimum Wage Determination Commission meetings to be held in December regarding the minimum wage, which is currently applied as a net 22 thousand 104 TL in 2025. According to the Asal Araştırma survey, the majority of citizens want the minimum wage to be 30 thousand TL or more in 2026.

The net minimum wage applied in Turkey for 2025 is at the level of 22 thousand 104.67 TL. As is the case every year, eyes are turned to the Minimum Wage Determination Commission meetings to be held in December. The figure that will be valid for the new year will be announced as a result of the commission negotiations.
Experts have begun to evaluate possible increase rates by taking into account economic indicators and inflation data in the last quarter of the year. During this process, research companies are also taking the pulse of the citizens.
“HOW MUCH SHOULD THE MINIMUM WAGE BE IN 2026?”
In the survey conducted by Asal Research between September 12-18 in 26 provinces, 2 thousand participants were asked the question, “In your opinion, how much should the minimum wage be in 2026?”
The responses are as follows:
Maximum 26,000 TL: 14.5 percent
28,000 TL: 22.6 percent
30,000 TL: 25.8 percent
32,000 TL: 13.1 percent
More than 32,000 TL: 24 percent
