The date for the announcement of the February 2025 inflation data has been finalized.
The Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) will announce the February inflation figures on Monday, March 3, 2025 (today) at 10:00 AM.
WHAT IS THE FEBRUARY INFLATION EXPECTATION?
The expectation survey conducted by AA Finance regarding the February inflation data to be announced by TurkStat on Monday, March 3, has been completed.
In the survey, which involved 20 economists, the average of the February inflation expectations was calculated at 2.97 percent. Economists' forecasts ranged between 2.30 percent and 3.40 percent.
In line with the economists' average February inflation expectation (2.97%), it is projected that the annual inflation, which was measured at 42.12% in January, will decline to the 40% level.
Additionally, the economists' year-end inflation expectation for 2025 was determined as 28.67% as of February.
The Consumer Price Index (CPI) had shown an increase of 5.03% in January.
WHAT WAS THE JANUARY INFLATION?
In January 2025, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased by 5.03 percent compared to the previous month, by 5.03 percent compared to December of the previous year, and by 42.12 percent compared to the same month of the previous year. Furthermore, the CPI increase according to twelve-month averages was recorded at 56.35 percent.
