STARTED IN 2018 FOR THE FIRST TIME

The holiday bonus practice began in 2018 and was initially set at 1,000 liras.

In 2021, it was increased to 1,100 liras,

In 2023, it was increased to 2,000 liras,

In 2024, it was increased to 3,000 liras,

In 2025, it was increased to 4,000 liras.

With this raise, a total of 8,000 liras in holiday bonuses will be paid to retirees.

WHO WILL RECEIVE THE HOLIDAY BONUS?

Hürriyet columnist Noyan Doğan listed the groups that can benefit from the retiree holiday bonus as follows:

Retirees under SSK, Bağ-Kur, and the Retirement Fund (Emekli Sandığı),

Those receiving disability, duty disability, old-age, and survivor pensions,

Relatives of martyrs and veterans,

Security guards, civilians harmed by terrorism, and champion athletes,

Those receiving permanent incapacity income and death benefits.

Share ratio will be applied for widows and orphans

The bonus will be deposited for those receiving widow and orphan pensions according to their share ratio. For example:

2,000 liras will be paid to those receiving a pension at a 50 percent share ratio,

3,000 liras will be paid to those receiving a pension at a 75 percent share ratio,

1,000 liras will be paid to those receiving a pension at a 25 percent share ratio.

WILL THOSE WHO HAVE RECENTLY RETIRED BE ABLE TO BENEFIT?

Those who submit their retirement application by March 15 will receive a 4,000 lira bonus for both holidays.

Those who apply for retirement after April 1 will only benefit from the payment for Eid al-Adha.

Those who retired from private bank and insurance funds will not be able to benefit from this bonus.

WHEN WILL THE HOLIDAY BONUSES BE DEPOSITED?

Payments will be deposited into accounts just before the holidays. This year, holiday bonus payments are expected to be deposited into accounts between March 24 and 28. For retirees under SSK, Bağ-Kur, and the Retirement Fund, payments will be made on dates determined according to their allocation number.

Payments will be made by March 30 for Ramadan Bayram,

Payments will be made by June 6 for Eid al-Adha.

Retirees will be able to withdraw their bonuses through the bank accounts where they receive their pensions.
