In a statement regarding the matter, the bank said, "We are continuing our efforts to resolve the issue as soon as possible." Due to the problem, the bank's branches outside of shopping malls remained open until 00:00 last night.

A serious access crisis is occurring with the Garanti BBVA mobile banking application, which is actively used by millions of people across Turkey. Users attempting to perform transactions via the mobile app were met with the warning: "We apologize, we are currently unable to process your transaction. Please try again later."

Users unable to access mobile services expressed their reactions on social media platforms. Due to the issue not being resolved for a long time, users voiced their criticisms of the bank through numerous posts.
FIRST STATEMENT RELEASED
In the first official statement made by Garanti BBVA, it was stated: "We are currently experiencing a technical glitch in our systems. We are working to resolve the issue as soon as possible. Thank you for your understanding." In a subsequent statement, information was provided that the issue in question was not caused by any external attack.
"THERE IS NO CYBER ATTACK"
In the second statement from the bank, it was clarified that the access issue was entirely due to a technical problem, and security concerns were addressed with the phrase "there is no cyber attack." The statement also included the words, "Our relevant departments are working intensively to ensure the issue is fully resolved as soon as possible."
BRANCHES WERE OPEN UNTIL 00:00 LAST NIGHT
Garanti BBVA announced that it had taken a temporary measure to ensure banking services were not disrupted due to the ongoing access issue.
In the final statement, it was said: "The technical glitch in our bank's digital channels and Call Center continues. We are continuing our efforts without interruption to resolve the issue as soon as possible," while it was noted that all bank branches outside of shopping malls would serve until 00:00 at night.
The bank informed its customers with the statement: "In order for you to carry out your banking transactions, all our branches, excluding locations with legal closing requirements such as shopping malls, will remain open until 00:00 tonight."
