The country's Federal Finance Agency said in an emailed statement on Wednesday that Germany will stop sales of inflation-linked bonds starting next year.

According to the statement, no further inflation-linked federal bonds will be issued from 2024 onwards, and outstanding bonds will not be reopened. The country's leading inflation-linked securities will continue to be traded on the open market.

Germany has four inflation-indexed bonds with a total value of 66.25 billion euros (72.1 billion dollars), with remaining maturities ranging from 2.5 to 22.5 years. The agency did not provide further details.
