Gold bullion yields profit
According to data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), when adjusted for the Consumer Price Index (CPI), gold bullion provided the highest monthly real return in November at 2 percent.

The Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) has announced the real return rates for financial investment instruments for November. Accordingly, when adjusted for the CPI, gold bullion provided the highest real return in November at 2 percent. When adjusted for the Domestic Producer Price Index (D-PPI), gold bullion also provided a 2.47 percent gain to its investors.
When adjusted for the D-PPI, while the euro provided a real return of 2.27 percent to its investors, the dollar lost 0.02 percent, deposit interest (gross) lost 0.54 percent, the BIST 100 index lost 4.9 percent, and Government Domestic Debt Securities (GDDS) lost 5.85 percent. When adjusted for the CPI, while the euro provided a real return of 1.8 percent, the dollar lost 0.47 percent, deposit interest (gross) lost 1 percent, the BIST 100 index lost 5.34 percent, and GDDS caused a loss of 6.27 percent for investors.
THE INVESTMENT INSTRUMENT WITH THE HIGHEST LOSS
In the three-month evaluation, while gold bullion provided the highest real return to its investors at 1.14 percent when adjusted for the D-PPI, it caused a loss of 2.06 percent when adjusted for the CPI. During the same period, GDDS became the investment instrument with the highest loss, at 22.36 percent when adjusted for the D-PPI and 24.82 percent when adjusted for the CPI.
According to the six-month evaluation, the BIST 100 index was the investment instrument that generated the highest real return, at 29.31 percent when adjusted for the D-PPI and 23.12 percent when adjusted for the CPI. During the same period, GDDS was recorded as the investment instrument with the highest loss, at 43.43 percent when adjusted for the D-PPI and 46.13 percent when adjusted for the CPI.
When financial investment instruments were evaluated annually, gold bullion became the investment instrument providing the highest real return, at 25.48 percent when adjusted for the D-PPI and 10.19 percent when adjusted for the CPI. In the annual evaluation, when adjusted for the D-PPI, among investment instruments, the BIST 100 index provided a real return of 21.16 percent, the euro 14.64 percent, and the dollar 8.18 percent, while deposit interest (gross) lost 19.37 percent and GDDS lost 47.49 percent. When adjusted for the CPI, while the BIST 100 index provided a real return of 6.4 percent and the euro 0.67 percent, the dollar caused a loss of 4.99 percent, deposit interest (gross) 29.19 percent, and GDDS 53.88 percent.
