Gold and silver prices have entered a recovery trend in today's trading following a decline over the last two sessions. The rise in precious metals was driven by investors reshaping their expectations regarding the US Federal Reserve's monetary policy.

The ounce price of gold rose to as high as 4,931 dollars, compensating for a portion of its losses. In the markets, it appears that assessments regarding how long interest rates will be maintained at current levels are supporting buying appetite.

Statements from the Fed indicate that a cautious stance is being maintained. Officials emphasize that keeping interest rates steady is on the agenda until it becomes clear that inflation is approaching the 2 percent target, while noting that if the positive trend in the economic outlook continues, the possibility of an interest rate cut later in the year may remain on the table.

Investors are closely watching the FOMC meeting minutes for new signals from the Fed, while growth and inflation data to be released this week are also in the market's focus. On the other hand, the start of the Lunar New Year holiday in China is reducing trading volume on the Asian side, causing a weakening in short-term demand.

The relative decrease in tension on the geopolitical front is also among the factors limiting demand for safe havens. News regarding progress in contacts between the US and Iran and the negotiation process on the Russia-Ukraine line point to a partial improvement in risk perception.
